An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. This is a key clinical role within an acute hospital setting, offering the chance to contribute to high-quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care while supporting service development and mentoring junior staff.

This campaign is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants, and a panel may be formed to fill current and future vacancies at Connolly Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services to patients within the acute hospital setting
• Support and supervise junior pharmacists, interns, and pharmacy technicians
• Contribute to medicines management, safety initiatives, and clinical governance
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinical teams and ward-based services
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, professional standards, and legislation
• Assist in service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in on-call and extended pharmacy services as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
• Significant post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy
• Demonstrated competence in clinical pharmacy practice
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff is highly desirable
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

• Salary in line with HSE Senior Pharmacist (Grade 3239) pay scales
• Pay scales are aligned with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025)
