An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse – Altra Foirne (Theatre DSU) at Letterkenny University Hospital. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing day surgery procedures
• Support perioperative workflows within the Theatre Day Surgery Unit
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring optimal recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high clinical standards
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HSE policies
• Promote patient dignity, safety, and infection prevention standards


Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a General Nurse
• Demonstrated interest or experience in perioperative or theatre nursing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Commitment to continuous professional development


Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary: In line with HSE Staff Nurse (General) pay scale (Grade 2135), per national agreements
Contract: Permanent, Wholetime
