Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage nursing staff within the medical department
• Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care
• Support clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management
• Manage staffing resources, rostering, and daily operational requirements
• Promote professional development, mentorship, and performance management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, HIQA standards, and best practice guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Register (General Division)
• Minimum post-registration clinical experience as per HSE CNM1 criteria
• Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Experience in an acute medical setting is essential
• Ability to manage change and support service development
• Strong commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale (HSE Consolidated Pay Scales – effective 1 August 2025):
€56,642 – €66,705 per annum (Clinical Nurse Manager 1 – Grade 2127)
