Job Overview
This Social Care Worker Cork opportunity with Brothers of Charity Services Ireland offers a rewarding career supporting people with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling, person-centred lives. You will work within community and residential services across Cork City and West Cork, contributing to independence, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support
• Promote independence, dignity, and community participation
• Support individual care plans and positive behaviour supports
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding standards
• Engage with families, advocates, and external agencies
• Participate in continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Recognised qualification in Social Care or related discipline
• CORU registration (or eligibility to register)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to person-centred practice and inclusion
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings/weekends
• Full driving licence desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with approved Section 38 / public sector Social Care Worker scales (Grade 3029)
• Hours: Full-Time – 78 hours per fortnight
