Cork University Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Interventional Radiology Coordinator to provide clinical leadership and coordination within a highly specialised interventional radiology service. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead service delivery, support multidisciplinary collaboration, and drive high standards of patient care in a busy acute hospital setting.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and professional leadership within the Interventional Radiology service
• Coordinate patient pathways, staffing, and resources to ensure safe, effective care
• Support governance, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives
• Promote evidence-based practice and continuous service improvement
• Lead and support nursing staff, including supervision and performance development
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, nursing, medical, and allied health colleagues
• Contribute to audit, policy development, and service planning activities


Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Relevant postgraduate qualification or commitment to same (desirable)
• Significant post-registration experience, ideally within acute or radiology services
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience at senior nursing level
• Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Experience in quality improvement, audit, and clinical governance


Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119), in line with HSE consolidated pay scales effective 1 August 2025
Indicative Range: €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSIs apply), depending on experience
Benefits: Public service pension, annual leave entitlement, paid sick leave, continuous professional development opportunities
Hours: Wholetime, permanent contract
