An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Manager II (CNM II) within the Medical Directorate at Sligo University Hospital. This senior nursing role is ideal for experienced nurses ready to lead high-performing clinical teams, drive quality improvement, and enhance patient outcomes within a dynamic acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff within the Medical Directorate
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in line with national standards
• Manage staffing, rostering, and skill mix to ensure safe service delivery
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, audits, and risk management processes
• Support education, training, and professional development of nursing teams
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient pathways
• Contribute to service planning and operational management at ward/unit level
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI Register
• Significant post-registration clinical experience in an acute hospital setting
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience at CNM I or equivalent level
• Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager II (Grade 2119)
€61,463 – €77,666 per annum (HSE consolidated pay scales, effective Aug 2025)
