Job Overview
An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Team Leader – Intellectual Disability within Brothers of Charity Services Ireland in County Roscommon. This role is ideal for an experienced social care professional ready to lead, mentor, and support multidisciplinary teams delivering person-centred services to adults with intellectual disabilities across community-based settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise social care staff to ensure high-quality, person-centred supports
• Promote dignity, inclusion, safeguarding, and rights-based practice
• Coordinate service delivery in line with HIQA standards and organisational policies
• Support individuals to achieve personal goals and independent living outcomes
• Manage rosters, resources, and service planning requirements
• Provide leadership in crisis management and complex support needs
• Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant third-level qualification in Social Care or related discipline
• Minimum required experience in intellectual disability or social care services
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and safeguarding practices
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Full clean driving licence (desirable depending on service needs)
