Job Overview

An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Interventional Radiology Coordinator) at Cork University Hospital. This senior nursing role offers the chance to lead and coordinate interventional radiology services within a major tertiary teaching hospital, supporting high-quality, patient-centred care while advancing service development and clinical governance.

This post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.


Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the Interventional Radiology nursing service
• Provide clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff
• Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care
• Lead service planning, quality improvement, and audit initiatives
• Support staff education, competency development, and rostering
• Collaborate closely with consultants, radiographers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, clinical governance, and regulatory standards


Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse on the NMBI Register
• Minimum 5 years post-registration experience, with relevant acute/interventional experience
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills
• Experience in service coordination or clinical management desirable
• Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making abilities
• Eligibility to work in Ireland


Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary Scale (Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Grade 2119):
€61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI applicable), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 August 2025
