Cork University Hospital is recruiting a Deputy Engineering Officer to support the delivery, maintenance, and development of critical healthcare infrastructure across the hospital campus and associated buildings. This is a senior technical and management role within the Capital & Estates Maintenance Department, offering long-term career stability within the public health service.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in managing engineering and maintenance services across the hospital campus
• Support delivery of capital projects, refurbishment works, and planned maintenance programmes
• Supervise technical staff, contractors, and external service providers
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory regulations
• Contribute to asset management, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives
• Provide engineering expertise to support clinical and operational services
• Deputise for the Engineering Officer as required

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
• Proven experience in engineering management, maintenance, or estates services
• Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and building compliance standards
• Experience working in large, complex facilities is desirable
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
