Job Overview
This is a specified purpose, whole-time position supporting medicines governance, supply, and systems management within HMMS. The role contributes directly to patient safety, compliance, and service efficiency across healthcare settings in Dublin North.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the operation and development of the Hospital Medicines Management System (HMMS)
• Assist pharmacists with medicines procurement, storage, distribution, and reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with medicines legislation, policies, and standard operating procedures
• Contribute to audit, quality improvement, and medicines safety initiatives
• Maintain accurate electronic and manual medicines records
• Provide guidance and supervision to junior pharmaceutical technical staff
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community services
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligible for appointment at Pharmaceutical Technician – Senior (Grade 3021)
• Relevant recognised qualification in pharmaceutical technology
• Significant post-qualification experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of medicines management systems and governance
• Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
