Naas General Hospital is seeking a motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate (cCNS) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to join its specialist nursing team. This permanent, whole-time role offers an excellent opportunity to develop advanced specialist nursing competencies while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within the HSE Dublin and Midlands region. The post supports both HSE and non-HSE applicants and plays a key role in enhancing outcomes for patients with IBD.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist nursing care to patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Demonstrate depth and breadth of nursing knowledge in the IBD specialty
• Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Support patient education, self-management, and continuity of care
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise clinical outcomes
• Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to HSE policies and professional standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Significant post-registration nursing experience, with demonstrable experience in Inflammatory Bowel Disease or a closely related specialty
• Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to specialist practice
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to progressing to full Clinical Nurse Specialist status in line with HSE requirements
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate (General) salary scale, as per consolidated HSE pay scales effective August 2025
• Contract: Permanent, whole-time
