Mayo University Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 3 to lead the Intensive Care Unit. This senior leadership role is central to the delivery of high-quality, safe, and evidence-based critical care services within an acute hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Intensive Care Unit
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred critical care
• Lead, manage, and develop nursing and multidisciplinary teams
• Promote clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage staffing, resources, and service planning within the ICU
• Support education, training, and professional development of staff
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, national standards, and best practice
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI Register
• Extensive post-registration nursing experience in an Intensive Care Unit within an acute hospital setting
• Proven leadership and management experience at senior nursing level
• Higher / Postgraduate Diploma (or equivalent) in Critical Care Nursing
• Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale (Clinical Nurse Manager 3 – Grade 233X): €70,725 – €79,872 per annum (HSE consolidated pay scale, effective 1 August 2025)
