An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse General (Community) to join the Integrated Care Older Persons Services within HSE South West. This community-based role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care to older persons in Cork, supporting integrated and multidisciplinary care pathways.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to older persons in a community setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Support health promotion, rehabilitation, and chronic disease management
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and professional standards
• Engage with patients, families, and carers to support continuity of care
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a General Nurse with NMBI (or eligibility to register)
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Community nursing experience desirable
• Full driving licence may be required for community-based duties

• Salary in line with Staff Nurse General (Community) 202X HSE consolidated pay scales (effective 1 August 2025)
