Connolly Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Infection Prevention & Control) to lead and coordinate IPC services across the hospital. This senior nursing role plays a pivotal part in service planning, governance, and the effective management of clinical resources. It offers a significant opportunity to influence patient safety and quality of care at hospital-wide level.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coordinate, and manage Infection Prevention & Control activities
• Support service planning and implementation of IPC policies and standards
• Monitor compliance with national and local IPC guidelines
• Provide clinical leadership, education, and mentorship to nursing staff
• Coordinate surveillance, audit, and reporting of infection-related data
• Advise senior management on IPC risks and mitigation strategies
• Participate in multidisciplinary committees and service improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse on the NMBI register
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with relevant IPC experience
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention, surveillance, and control practices
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119)
• Annual Salary Range: €61,463 – €77,666 (including LSI, effective 1 August 2025)
• Specified Purpose Wholetime contract
