An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist, Clinical Specialist to join the Children’s and Young Person’s Weight Management Team in Waterford. This role focuses on delivering specialist paediatric occupational therapy interventions, contributing to service development, and supporting health promotion initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention within paediatric weight management services
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support children and families
• Lead and contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
• Support service development, education, and evidence-based practice
• Participate in research and practice development relevant to paediatric occupational therapy
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance and professional accountability
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as an Occupational Therapist with CORU
• Significant post-qualification experience in paediatric services, including weight management and health promotion
• Demonstrated experience in clinical audit, quality improvement, teaching, and research
• Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development relevant to occupational therapy specialism
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary working skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Occupational Therapist – Clinical Specialist (Grade 3824) consolidated pay scales
• Salary scales governed by Department of Health Circulars and Public Service Pay Agreements effective 1 August 2025
• Permanent part-time role at 0.5 WTE
