The Health Service Executive Mid West is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Chronic Kidney Disease) to provide clinical leadership within renal services in Limerick. This permanent, whole-time role offers the opportunity to lead high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals living with chronic kidney disease across the region.

This is a key leadership position supporting service development, clinical governance, and multidisciplinary collaboration within specialist renal care.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical and professional leadership within Chronic Kidney Disease services
• Manage and support nursing staff to deliver safe, evidence-based renal care
• Coordinate care pathways for patients with chronic kidney disease
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, standards, and clinical governance requirements
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and service development projects
• Support education, training, and competency development of staff
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary renal and medical teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant renal/CKD experience
• At least 2 years at CNM1 level or equivalent leadership experience
• Proven clinical leadership and people management skills
• Strong knowledge of chronic kidney disease care and patient pathways
• Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills

• Salary in line with Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) HSE payscale
• Annual salary range: €61,463 – €77,666 (LSI may apply) effective from 1 August 2025
