An exciting senior opportunity has arisen for a Grade VII Data Protection Office Compliance System Technical Lead within the National Data Protection Office, Dublin. This role provides technical leadership for compliance systems that underpin data protection governance across the health service. The post holder will play a critical role in strengthening organisational compliance, assurance, and reporting frameworks.

This is a high-impact role, suited to an experienced ICT or compliance systems professional seeking national-level responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the Data Protection Office compliance systems
- Oversee system design, development, configuration, and continuous improvement
- Ensure systems support GDPR compliance, audit readiness, and reporting obligations
- Collaborate with data protection, ICT, legal, and operational stakeholders nationally
- Manage system-related risks, issues, and change control processes
- Support training, guidance, and system adoption across the organisation
- Contribute to national data protection strategy and governance initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Significant experience in ICT systems, compliance platforms, or governance systems
- Strong understanding of GDPR, data protection compliance, or regulatory frameworks
- Proven experience leading technical projects or system implementations
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working in large, complex organisations is desirable
- Relevant third-level qualification in ICT, information systems, or a related discipline
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary in line with Grade VII (0582) HSE pay scale (Department of Health Consolidated Scales)
- Pensionable public service role with annual leave and incremental progression
- Blended working available in line with HSE Blended Working Policy
- Full-time, part-time, permanent and specified purpose contracts may be offered
