The Health Service Executive (HSE) Mid West is seeking an experienced Peer Support Worker Senior to join its Mental Health Services across Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary. This permanent wholetime position offers an opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting recovery-focused mental health services within the community.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide lived-experience-informed peer support within Mental Health Services
• Promote recovery principles and person-centred care practices
• Support service users in developing self-advocacy and independent living skills
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to service development initiatives
• Maintain accurate records in line with HSE standards
• Participate in training, supervision and service evaluation
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience providing pharmacy services as relevant to the role
• Relevant qualification appropriate to the grade of Peer Support Worker Senior
• Strong understanding of recovery-oriented practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Peer Support Worker Senior Grade (6039) pay scale in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025)
