Senior House Officer Cardiology Limerick opportunities are now available at University Hospital Limerick under HSE Mid West. This fixed term wholetime position offers hands-on experience within a busy cardiology service, supporting patient care, diagnostics, and acute cardiac management. This internal campaign is open only to eligible public health sector employees.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical care to cardiology patients under consultant supervision
• Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and on-call rotas
• Assist in cardiac diagnostics and procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Support acute admissions and emergency cardiac cases
• Adhere to HSE clinical governance and safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Current registration with the Irish Medical Council
• Relevant postgraduate medical experience
• Experience in cardiology or acute medicine desirable
• Strong clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Eligibility restricted to HSE, TUSLA, Section 38, or statutory health agency employees (WRC Agreement 161867)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: Senior House Officer (Grade 1012) €54,203 – €74,133 (as per 1 August 2025 consolidated pay scales)
