Wexford General Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Clinical Facilitator Theatre Endoscopy) to support perioperative services and clinical excellence within theatre and endoscopy settings. This permanent wholetime opportunity offers leadership responsibility in education, governance, and high-quality patient care delivery within a dynamic acute hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership and support to theatre and endoscopy nursing teams
• Facilitate ongoing professional development and competency-based training
• Promote evidence-based practice and adherence to clinical standards
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programmes
• Participate in service planning and operational management of perioperative services
• Supervise, mentor and appraise nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, HIQA standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Minimum required post-registration experience in a perioperative/theatre setting
• Demonstrated leadership and clinical facilitation experience
• Strong communication, organisational and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to support education and staff development
• Experience in quality improvement and governance desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade Code 2119) pay scale, effective 1 August 2025:
€61,463 – €77,666 (LSI) per annum
Salary scales are in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025)
