Corlann Ireland is currently recruiting a Social Care Worker (Disability Services) for a specified purpose part-time contract (60 hours per fortnight) based in Galway City. This rewarding role supports children with disabilities within a person-centred, community-focused environment across the HSE West and North West region.
This opportunity is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers meaningful work within a publicly funded Section 38 organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to children with disabilities
• Promote independence, dignity, and social inclusion
• Support care planning and individual development goals
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and care records
• Adhere to HIQA standards and organisational policies
• Participate in service development and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant Level 7 qualification in Social Care or equivalent
• CORU registration (or eligibility to register)
• Experience working in disability services, preferably with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full driving licence (desirable)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Social Care Worker (Grade 3029) consolidated pay scale effective 1 August 2025 in accordance with public sector pay policy
• Contract: Specified Purpose, Part-Time
• Hours: 60 hours per fortnight
