The Health Service Executive is seeking a highly skilled Orthodontics Specialist to join HSE Dublin and North East, delivering specialist orthodontic services across Meath and Louth. This permanent part-time position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality dental care within community services while contributing to regional clinical leadership and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist orthodontic assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Deliver comprehensive orthodontic treatment in line with HSE clinical guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary primary care teams.
  • Supervise and support dental staff as required.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Travel across designated service areas in Meath and Louth as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registered as a Specialist in Orthodontics with the Dental Council of Ireland.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics.
  • Demonstrated experience in specialist orthodontic practice.
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.
  • Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Grade: Orthodontics – Specialist 1465.
  • Salary: €178,099 per annum (as per August 2025 HSE Consolidated Salary Scales) :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
  • Contract Type: Permanent Part-time.
