Corlann (BOCSI) is recruiting a Person in Charge for its services in Kilrush, County Clare. This senior leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and regulatory compliance across residential and community settings.
This permanent wholetime opportunity is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers the chance to lead, inspire and drive service excellence within the HSE Mid West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership and overall management of designated services.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, relevant legislation, and national policies.
- Promote a person-centred culture that supports service users’ rights, dignity and independence.
- Lead, supervise and support multidisciplinary staff teams.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively in line with organisational policies.
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with families, stakeholders and external agencies.
- Prepare reports and contribute to strategic service development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Social Care, Health or related discipline.
- Registration with CORU (where applicable).
- Experience at Social Care Manager level or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven people management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making abilities.
- Full clean driving licence and access to transport.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Social Care Manager 1 (Grade Code 3371).
- Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime.
- Salary aligned with Health Sector Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025) in accordance with public sector pay policy :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}.
