Autism Initiatives Ireland is seeking a dedicated Support Worker Disability professional to join its team in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. This permanent part-time role (19.5 hours per week) offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs.
This position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is advertised under Section 39 on behalf of a publicly funded organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs.
- Deliver support in line with each individual’s Person-Centred Plan (PCP) and care plan.
- Act in accordance with the Key Worker/Support Worker philosophy.
- Support programme planning and implementation of individualised supports.
- Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion in all daily activities.
- Work effectively on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification (Health, Community, or Care Sector) – essential.
- Genuine passion for providing person-centred support.
- Strong understanding of supporting people with complex needs.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
- Full, clean manual driver’s licence – desirable.

- Salary: In line with Care Assistant (Disability Services) Grade 6482 and Section 39 pay scales.
