LauraLynn – Children’s Sunshine Home is seeking an experienced Quality, Safety and Risk Officer to support and enhance governance, compliance, and patient safety standards across its services in Dublin 18.

This permanent Grade VI role offers the opportunity to lead quality improvement initiatives, manage risk frameworks, and ensure regulatory compliance within a specialist children’s hospice setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the implementation of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Maintain and develop risk management systems, including incident reporting and review processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Coordinate internal audits, policy reviews, and governance reporting.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on quality, safety, and risk best practice.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and Board-level governance structures.
  • Support accreditation processes and continuous service improvement planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification in healthcare management, quality, risk, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in quality, safety, or risk management within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead service improvement projects and influence change.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Salary aligned to HSE Consolidated Salary Scales for Grade VI (0574), effective 1 August 2025
  • Permanent Wholetime position
