Employment Type: Permanent, Part-time (28 hours per week)

Salary: €51,206 – €61,253 per annum (pro-rated; based on relevant public sector experience)

Position Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Protection Administrator (Clerical Grade 5) to join our Central Management team at St Vincent’s Centre, Navan Road, Dublin. This is a key role supporting our Data Protection Officer in implementing and maintaining data protection practices across the organisation in line with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Data Protection function
  • Assist in the implementation of Avista’s Data Protection Plan
  • Support compliance efforts with Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation
  • Handle a variety of administrative duties in a busy office environment, including diary management, transcription, and document handling

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience in the public sector or a similar setting
  • Strong IT skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and email
  • Excellent organisational and clerical abilities, including minute taking and diary management
  • Solid understanding of Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation
  • Demonstrated ongoing professional development in administrative skills
  • Meets Level 2 behavioural competencies of the Avista Competency Framework

Desirable Criteria:

  • Relevant diploma or degree in office administration or a related field
  • Experience managing confidential data in a busy environment
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, particularly in handling sensitive queries
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to supporting local teams on data-related tasks
