Job Overview
The Senior Physiotherapist Dublin North role offers an excellent opportunity to join community-based services within HSE Dublin and North East. These permanent, whole-time positions span Care Group Area 2 (Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology) and Care Group 6 (Neurology, Gerontology, Rehabilitation) across multiple Integrated Health Areas.
Successful candidates will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services within Primary Care and Older Persons Services, contributing to integrated, patient-centred rehabilitation and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, rheumatology, neurology, gerontology, and rehabilitation services.
- Manage a complex clinical caseload in community and primary care settings.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Supervise and support junior physiotherapy staff and students.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and integrated care planning.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with HSE policies and professional standards.
- Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy eligible for CORU registration.
- Registration with CORU (or eligibility to register) as a Physiotherapist.
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience, including experience relevant to Care Group Areas 2 and/or 6.
- Demonstrated experience in community or primary care settings is desirable.
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.

- Salary aligned with HSE Senior Physiotherapist (Grade 3158) pay scale in accordance with February 2026 consolidated salary scales.
