Job Overview

The Multitask Attendant role at Our Lady’s Hospital Manorhamilton offers an opportunity to contribute directly to patient and client care within a busy healthcare setting. This position supports clinical and support teams by maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients and staff.

This Multitask Attendant job in Manorhamilton is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and provides secure public sector employment within the HSE West and North West region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general support services across clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with hospital policies.
  • Assist with patient movement and support duties as required.
  • Support catering, portering, and housekeeping functions where necessary.
  • Ensure safe handling and disposal of waste and materials.
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or support services environment is desirable.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant Health Skills FETAC Level 5 qualification (MTA) if not already achieved.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying duties within a multitask environment.
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.

Note: Successful candidates for the Multitask Attendant post will be required to undertake training of the relevant Health Skills FETAC Level 5 qualification (MTA) if not already in possession of a FETAC Level 5 or equivalent relevant healthcare qualification.
