The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist (Paediatrics) to join its multidisciplinary teams across the Integrated Health Areas of Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West. This permanent wholetime opportunity offers the chance to lead and deliver high-quality paediatric occupational therapy services within community settings.
This Senior Occupational Therapist Paediatrics Dublin role is ideal for an experienced clinician passionate about supporting children and families, promoting development, independence, and participation in daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive paediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans for children with complex needs.
- Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams across community healthcare networks.
- Support early intervention and disability services in line with national policies and best practice.
- Supervise and mentor junior occupational therapy staff and students.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development initiatives.
- Engage with families, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with CORU (or eligibility to register).
- Minimum experience required for Senior Occupational Therapist grade (Grade 3301).
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric occupational therapy services.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Full driver’s licence and access to transport (as required for community roles).
