Job Overview

Children’s Health Ireland is seeking an experienced EHR Senior Application Analyst Dublin professional to join its digital health team on a specified purpose wholetime contract. This Grade VI opportunity plays a critical role in supporting and optimising Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems across paediatric healthcare services.

The successful candidate will contribute to system configuration, implementation support, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality digital solutions that enhance patient care and clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead configuration, optimisation, and support of Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather system requirements.
  • Analyse workflows and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Support system testing, upgrades, and implementation of new modules.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for end users.
  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and adherence to digital health standards.
  • Develop user documentation and deliver training where required.
  • Contribute to ongoing digital transformation and service improvement projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant third-level qualification in IT, Health Informatics, or related discipline.
  • Significant experience supporting or implementing EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards and governance.
  • Project management or system implementation experience desirable.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Grade: VI (0574) – Management/Admin/ICT.
  • Contract Type: Specified Purpose Wholetime.
  • Salary: In line with HSE Section 38 Grade VI salary scale (Clerical & Administrative), in accordance with national pay agreements.
