Job Overview
Omniplex Cinema Group is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day running of its cinema in Sligo, County Sligo. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor or aspiring manager to develop leadership skills, drive commercial performance, and help deliver an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee operations, lead the team, maintain service standards, and ensure the cinema runs efficiently while meeting company goals. This Assistant Manager Sligo role is ideal for someone who is confident, hands-on, and motivated by results.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the cinema.
- Lead, supervise, and develop team members through clear direction, coaching, and support.
- Help drive audience attendance, sales performance, and promotional activity.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and respond effectively to customer concerns.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development.
- Prepare staff rosters and process payroll within agreed budgets.
- Carry out opening, closing, operational, and administrative duties as required.
- Manage budgeting, stock control, cash handling, and reporting procedures.
- Support projection scheduling and optimise screening plans to maximise attendance.
- Oversee site social media activity in line with company policy.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, licensing requirements, IFCO certifications, and health and safety regulations.
- Address performance issues such as absenteeism and punctuality in a timely and professional manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisor or manager role.
- Previous experience in retail or hospitality management is preferred.
- Must be aged 18 years or older.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with staff and customers.
- Good awareness of key performance indicators and commercial targets.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and meet deadlines.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Graduates of business studies, management, travel, tourism, or recreation and leisure studies are preferred but not essential.
- Must be authorised to work in Ireland.
- This is a full-time, in-person role based in Sligo.
