Connolly Hospital is seeking a dedicated Domestic Cleaner (Oibrí Tí) to deliver high-quality cleaning services that support patient care and safety. This role plays a vital part in maintaining hygiene standards in line with hospital infection control policies. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties across designated hospital areas to a high standard
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies
- Follow HACCP and Environmental Health Office regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, wards, and public areas
- Safely handle cleaning equipment and materials
- Dispose of waste in accordance with hospital procedures
- Report maintenance or hygiene issues to supervisors
- Support a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare or similar setting is desirable
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to follow strict health and safety procedures
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €35,082 – €41,283 per annum (incremental scale)
Permanent Wholetime position
