Job Overview
The IT Field Engineer will be responsible for supporting customer IT systems, resolving technical issues, and implementing preventative solutions to maintain business continuity. This is a field-based role requiring travel to client sites across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and manage helpdesk calls, including onsite user support
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Perform system administration tasks using Active Directory
- Install and configure hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Manage data transfers and migrations
- Liaise with third-party vendors for installations and issue resolution
- Support managed print devices and network configurations
- Document solutions and maintain accurate system records
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in IT hardware environments, including Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Full clean driver’s licence (essential)
- Third-level IT qualification (desirable)
- Microsoft certifications (advantageous)
- Understanding of IT governance and security policies (desirable)
