HSE Dublin and North East is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist Manager to join Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) across the Integrated Health Areas of Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West. This senior leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape and lead specialist speech and language therapy services supporting children, adolescents, and families within multidisciplinary CAMHS settings.

Job Overview

The Speech and Language Therapist Manager CAMHS position will provide operational and clinical leadership within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Dublin North. The successful candidate will oversee therapy delivery, support multidisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the strategic development of CAMHS services across the region.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a progressive HSE environment focused on integrated care, clinical quality, and service innovation while supporting children and young people with complex communication and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Speech and Language Therapy services within CAMHS teams across Dublin North.
  • Provide clinical supervision, operational guidance, and professional leadership to therapy staff.
  • Support multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver integrated child and adolescent mental health services.
  • Contribute to service planning, quality improvement initiatives, and policy implementation.
  • Ensure high standards of clinical governance, safeguarding, and patient-centred care.
  • Manage caseload oversight, resource allocation, and workforce planning within CAMHS services.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and continuous professional development within the team.
  • Engage with families, carers, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders to support service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualification recognised by CORU for Speech and Language Therapy practice in Ireland.
  • Current CORU registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Significant postgraduate clinical experience in speech and language therapy.
  • Demonstrated leadership or management experience within healthcare services.
  • Experience working within child and adolescent services or mental health settings is desirable.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary collaboration and service development initiatives.
  • Commitment to high-quality, person-centred healthcare delivery.

Salary, Benefits and Working Hours

Salary will be aligned with the HSE Speech and Language Therapist Manager Grade 3468 pay scale. The role is offered on a permanent whole-time basis and includes access to public sector benefits including annual leave entitlements, pension scheme, professional development opportunities, and employee wellbeing supports.

Working arrangements will support service delivery across the Integrated Health Areas of Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West.
