Job Overview
As a Live-in Carer with ALHomecare, you will live in the client’s home and provide daily assistance, companionship, personal care, meal preparation, and household support. The role is ideal for caring individuals who are flexible, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality elderly care across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities where required
- Prepare meals and support nutritional needs
- Carry out light housekeeping and maintain a clean home environment
- Support clients in maintaining independence and dignity
- Live in the client’s home for 6 to 7 nights per week
- Work daytime hours in scheduled blocks across 5 to 6 days weekly
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and care coordinators
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recent professional elderly care experience is required
- A reasonable to good level of spoken English
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Friendly, compassionate, and understanding personality
- Ability to cook and manage household tasks
- Flexibility regarding placement location throughout Ireland, including rural areas
- Professional care qualifications are desirable but not mandatory
- Driving licence preferred
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Live-in Carer salary: €2,169 to €3,280.50 gross per month
- Live-in Nurse salary: €2,844 to €3,956 gross per month
- Full-time permanent opportunities
- 35 to 48 working hours per week depending on placement
