Job Overview
The successful candidate will work within HSE South West and play a key role in supporting professional practice development, clinical education, and service improvement initiatives. This campaign will fill one permanent whole-time vacancy, with a panel also being formed for future permanent whole-time or part-time vacancies across HSE South West.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level speech and language therapy practice support and education.
- Support clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional development of staff and students.
- Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams across Cork and Kerry.
- Assist with the development and delivery of training programmes and practice education.
- Contribute to service planning, governance, and professional standards.
- Travel across the HSE South West region as required for service delivery and support.
- Maintain accurate clinical and professional documentation in line with HSE policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification recognised for Speech and Language Therapy registration in Ireland.
- CORU registration or eligibility for registration.
- Senior-level clinical experience in speech and language therapy.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting professional practice development and education is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Full driving licence and access to transport may be required due to regional travel commitments.

Salary will be aligned with HSE salary scales for Speech and Language Therapy Practice Tutor Grade 3381 positions.
