The National Screening Service is seeking applications for the position of Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer within Human Resources and Corporate Services in Dublin. The Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer will contribute to efficient service delivery while supporting HR operations, communication processes, record management, and corporate administration functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across Human Resources and Corporate Services functions
  • Maintain accurate employee and operational records in line with HSE procedures
  • Assist with HR administration, reporting, and documentation management
  • Coordinate communications and support internal service operations
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting documentation
  • Support compliance with organisational policies and healthcare regulations
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Deliver high standards of customer service and administrative efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer within the HSE, TUSLA, statutory health agencies, or a Section 38 organisation
  • OR five Leaving Certificate subjects including Mathematics and English or Irish with required grades
  • OR equivalent recognised qualification from another jurisdiction
  • OR relevant QQI Level 6 qualification or higher
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • High standard of suitability and professional conduct
  • Candidates must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the role

Salary Benefits and Working Hours

Salary for this Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer role will be aligned with HSE Grade IV pay scales. The position is offered on a permanent whole-time basis and includes access to public sector benefits including annual leave, pension entitlements, and opportunities for professional development.
