Job Overview
Working as part of the Corlann disability services team, the Clinical Nurse Manager 1 will oversee nursing care delivery, support frontline staff, and ensure the highest standards of clinical practice are maintained. The role combines direct nursing responsibilities with leadership and coordination duties in a supportive community healthcare environment.
This opportunity is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is advertised under Section 38 services within HSE West and North West.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and care staff
- Deliver high-quality person-centred nursing care to individuals with disabilities
- Support care planning, risk management, and safeguarding procedures
- Promote best practice standards and compliance within disability services
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and community support services
- Assist with staff mentoring, training, and performance management
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and quality assurance processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse qualification with active NMBI registration
- Previous experience in disability services or community nursing desirable
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a healthcare setting
- Strong communication, organisational, and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to person-centred care and service user advocacy
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and healthcare compliance requirements
- Full driving licence may be advantageous for community-based duties
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
