Avista is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) Nights to join its Community Residential Services team at St. Vincent’s Centre in Lisnagry, Co. Limerick. Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Nights role with Avista involves overseeing the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care within Community Residential Services at St. Vincent’s Centre. The successful candidate will lead and support staff teams during night shifts while ensuring compliance with HIQA regulations, maintaining quality standards, and promoting the wellbeing and independence of residents.
This role requires strong clinical leadership, effective roster management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic intellectual disability service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise night nursing and care staff within Community Residential Services.
- Deliver high-quality person-centred nursing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex health needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, the Health Act 2007, and all relevant regulations.
- Coordinate staffing rosters, leave planning, and resource allocation effectively.
- Support residents in achieving personal goals, independence, and improved quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure best practice standards are upheld.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional support to nursing and care staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Current NMBI registration.
- Completed Management Course or willingness to complete within three months.
- Full clean manual driving licence and access to own transport.
- Minimum five years’ experience as a Staff Nurse and/or CNM1 experience.
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, complex health needs, and behaviours of concern.
- Completed mandatory training requirements.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Detailed knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations, and the Health Act 2007.
- Experience managing staff rosters and leave planning.
- Excellent English language proficiency.
- Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies within the Avista competency framework.
