About the Role
The HSE Dublin and Midlands is seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join Older Persons Services. The successful candidate will support Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality care and rehabilitation programmes for older adults, helping service users maintain independence and improve quality of life.
This permanent opportunity is based in Bru Chaoimhín, Cork Street, Dublin 8. A panel may also be created for future permanent and specified purpose vacancies across Dublin and Midlands Integrated Health Areas, including Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment programmes
- Support older persons with daily living and rehabilitation activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Promote independence, mobility and wellbeing among service users
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated Occupational Therapy Assistant experience relevant to the role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role
