  • Ensure compliance with radiation protection legislation and CORU professional standards.
  • Participate in on-call, weekend, and rostered theatre cover as required.

Requirements

  • Statutory registration with CORU as a Radiographer.
  • Significant post-qualification experience, with substantial recent experience in theatre and/or interventional imaging.
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise to the standard required of a Clinical Specialist post under HSE criteria.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to theatre radiography.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-working skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Salary

€65,592 – €77,475 per annum (HSE Radiographer, Clinical Specialist scale, 5-point scale), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 February 2026. Pay is pro-rata for part-time or worksharing arrangements.

Location

This role is based in Dublin with Children’s Health Ireland, the national provider of acute paediatric healthcare in Ireland. CHI operates across multiple Dublin sites and is leading the transition to the new National Children’s Hospital, offering radiographers the opportunity to shape theatre imaging services at a pivotal moment in Irish paediatric medicine. The working environment is collaborative, multidisciplinary, and focused on delivering world-class care to children and young people from across the country.

Contract
