A permanent Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (Disability Services) position is now available at St. Raphael’s Centre, Youghal, Co. Cork, with HSE South West. This is a senior nursing leadership opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse manager ready to shape disability services in Cork.
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (Disability Services) will provide strategic and operational nursing leadership within St. Raphael’s Centre, a HSE South West disability service based in Youghal, Co. Cork. The post holder will be responsible for the management, organisation, and delivery of high-quality, person-centred nursing care across the service.
This is a permanent, wholetime post. The successful candidate will work within the HSE South West region, contributing to the ongoing development of disability services and ensuring standards of care align with national policy and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and management to the nursing team within the disability service.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care to service users at St. Raphael’s Centre.
- Manage and monitor nursing standards, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee staffing, rostering, and resource allocation within the service.
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development among nursing and care staff.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, service users, families, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, national standards, and relevant legislation governing disability services.
- Contribute to service planning, development, and evaluation in collaboration with senior management.

Requirements
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Job Specification. As a general guide, applicants will be expected to hold:
- Registration as a Nurse on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).
- Significant post-registration nursing experience, including relevant experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Experience working within disability services or a related healthcare environment (desirable).

Salary
€72,146 – €81,478 per annum (HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (General) scale, 6-point scale). Based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.

St. Raphael’s Centre is a HSE South West disability service located in Youghal, Co. Cork. Youghal is a coastal town on the eastern tip of Cork, offering a welcoming community setting with good transport links to Cork city and the surrounding region. The post holder will be embedded in a dedicated disability services environment, working alongside a committed multidisciplinary team.
