Corlann (BOCSI) is recruiting a Team Leader for its disability services in County Roscommon. This is a permanent, full-time, and pensionable post offering a rewarding leadership opportunity within a Section 38 organisation providing community-based residential and day services to adults with intellectual disabilities across the Roscommon Town, Kilteevan, Athleague, and Tremane/Rahara areas.
Role Overview
The Team Leader will provide frontline leadership and operational management within residential and supported living settings, ensuring that people supported by Corlann receive high-quality, person-centred care. Reporting to the Person in Charge, the post holder will lead a team of Social Care Workers and support staff in delivering services that promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership to a team of Social Care Workers, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Promote a person-centred approach to care, supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and live as independently as possible.
- Assist in the implementation and review of individual support plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA Regulations and Standards for Residential Services for Persons with Disabilities.
- Support the Person in Charge with operational oversight, rosters, and staff scheduling.
- Contribute to the induction, supervision, and professional development of team members.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call arrangements and flexible working patterns as required by service needs.
- Act as a role model, fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive team culture.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a relevant Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or a related discipline on the QQI framework.
- Have a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience working in disability, mental health, or a related social care setting.
- Demonstrate previous supervisory or leadership experience within a social care environment.
- Possess a thorough understanding of HIQA standards and regulations governing residential disability services.
- Hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Be willing to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and as part of an on-call rota.
Salary
€57,484 – €67,130 per annum (HSE Social Care Leader scale, 7-point scale), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026. Placement on the scale is in accordance with Corlann’s incremental credit policy. As a Section 38 organisation, Corlann operates in line with HSE pay scales.

The post is based across Corlann’s disability services in the Roscommon Town, Kilteevan, Athleague, and Tremane/Rahara areas.
