The Rehab Group is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for its Disability Services in County Donegal. This is a permanent, wholetime (39 hours) post with an independent voluntary organisation supporting people with disabilities for over 70 years. The role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

Key Responsibilities
- Support intake assessment and collaborative support planning, helping identify occupational therapy needs and co-producing meaningful, person-centred goals with service users.
- Undertake holistic occupational therapy assessments using validated tools, drawing on record reviews, direct/indirect observation, functional task analysis, and self-report methods.
- Analyse and synthesise assessment findings into an occupational formulation, and produce professional, accessible reports (including plain English / Easy Read formats where required).
- Translate recommendations into practical, accessible implementation plans (e.g. step-by-step guides, visuals, Easy Reads).
- Build staff capacity through formal training and side-by-side coaching, modelling, and feedback; verify competency and monitor implementation fidelity and outcomes.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development, training, audit, and quality improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board.
- Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- A minimum of three years’ satisfactory full-time experience (or an aggregate of three years) working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or people with cognitive disabilities (ABI/dementia), and/or people with dual mental health diagnoses, and/or people with physical or sensory disabilities.
Salary
Competitive pay / Section 39 organisation. As a Section 39-funded body, The Rehab Group sets its own pay rates, which may reference HSE consolidated salary scales. Candidates should confirm the exact salary on offer directly with the recruiter.
