FlexiForce is recruiting a Junior IT Technician for a full-time position based in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim. Role Overview
As a Junior IT Technician, you will provide first-line technical support across schools and educational centres, ensuring that hardware, software and classroom technology operate efficiently. The role offers valuable experience supporting staff and students while developing practical ICT skills in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software and basic network issues.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops and classroom technology.
- Support staff and students with day-to-day IT queries.
- Assist with system updates, backups and basic cybersecurity measures.
- Work alongside senior ICT staff on technology projects and infrastructure upgrades.
Requirements
- Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience, such as a Diploma, Certificate or coursework in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Experience with Google Workspace, classroom technology or basic networking is desirable.
Salary
From €17.50 per hour.
Location
This position is based in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, supporting educational facilities through on-site IT services in a collaborative and supportive working environment.
