Servisource is recruiting compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join its team supporting residents in the Carrick-on-Shannon area of County Leitrim. Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential daily care and support to residents while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Working alongside nursing and healthcare professionals, you will contribute to maintaining a safe, caring, and supportive environment for those in your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and daily living activities.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe movement of residents.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and infection prevention.
- Support residents’ emotional wellbeing and participation in social activities.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Complete patient records and documentation accurately.
- Follow all health and safety and infection control procedures.
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous healthcare experience is desirable.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Garda Vetting is required.
- Good understanding of infection prevention and health and safety standards.
- Applicants must have legal authorisation to work in Ireland. Employment permits and visa sponsorship are not available for this position.
Salary
€18.01–€22.57 per hour.
