Role Overview
This Staff Nurse, Mental Health role supports the delivery of safe, recovery-focused care within the National Forensic Mental Health Service, serving patients with complex mental health needs in a secure clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional mental health nursing care in line with HSE standards and local service requirements.
- Support patient assessment, care planning, therapeutic engagement and clinical risk management.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a specialist forensic mental health service.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and contribute to safe, person-centred service delivery.

Salary
€38,908 – €56,948 per annum (HSE Mental Health Staff Nurse Grade 2674, 13-point scale, plus LSI where applicable), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.

This role is based at the National Forensic Mental Health Service, Portrane, Dublin North, within HSE Dublin and North East.
