About the Role

As Night Porter at Clayton Hotel Sligo, you’ll be the welcoming face of our hotel during evening hours, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and security. This part-time position is perfect for someone seeking flexible hours in the dynamic hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional check-in and check-out services for hotel guests and assist with luggage and porterage requests
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel including lobby, back office areas, stairways, restaurant and bar floors, and public spaces
• Clean and prepare function rooms, breakfast areas, and meeting rooms according to nightly checklists and manager directions
• Ensure the front entrance and exterior hotel areas remain clean and presentable, including waste management and general tidiness
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel fire safety procedures to protect all staff and guests
• Set up meeting rooms and conference facilities to hotel standards
• Respond promptly to guest requests and provide excellent customer service during night hours

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working with customers in a service environment
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, busy hotel environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or hotel operations
• Flexibility to work various night shifts
• Strong team collaboration skills
• Physical ability to perform cleaning and setup tasks
