We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to join our dynamic Telephone Triage Nursing team in Carlow. This is a permanent part-time position offering flexible working arrangements in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
About the Role
As Clinical Nurse Manager 1, you will lead our high-quality telephone triage service at Caredoc Call Assessment Centre, providing clinical leadership and supporting multidisciplinary teams in delivering exceptional patient care. This management role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities in our out-of-hours healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the telephone triage nursing team to ensure high-quality patient assessments
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to nursing staff in telephone consultation protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery and clinical outcomes
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives for telephone triage services
- Ensure compliance with NMBI standards and Caredoc clinical governance policies
- Manage staff scheduling and resource allocation for out-of-hours operations
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development of team members
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Current NMBI General Nurse Registration with active professional status
- Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience in clinical settings
- Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills in healthcare environments
- Strong problem-solving abilities and clinical decision-making experience
- IT proficiency including electronic health records and clinical systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interactions
- Flexibility to work out-of-hours schedules (evenings, weekends, bank holidays)
- Full clean Irish driving license
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous management or supervisory experience in nursing roles
- Experience in telephone triage or assessment nursing
- Additional nursing qualifications or specialist training
- Knowledge of out-of-hours healthcare delivery models
