Administration Officer – Cork | Brothers of Charity Services Ireland

Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is a leading provider of support services for people with intellectual disabilities and autism, operating across Ireland for over 60 years. We are currently seeking an Administration Officer for our Cork operations, offering a permanent part-time position (35 hours per fortnight) in the vibrant Glanmire area of Cork.

About the Role

This Administration Officer position (Grade IV) offers an excellent opportunity to join our dedicated administrative team in Cork, supporting the delivery of essential services to people with intellectual disabilities. You’ll be working in a supportive environment where your administrative skills will directly contribute to enhancing the lives of the people we support across our Cork services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to service managers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate records and databases in compliance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Process correspondence, documentation, and reports efficiently and confidentially
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and administrative schedules for service delivery teams
  • Handle telephone inquiries and provide information to service users, families, and external stakeholders
  • Support budget monitoring and financial administration tasks as required
  • Assist with recruitment administration including interview coordination and documentation

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience in a healthcare, social care, or similar professional environment
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in disability services or healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality requirements
  • Previous experience with database management systems
  • Customer service experience in a professional setting
